DYNAMIC THAI MASSAGE RETREAT – Ireland West
This course is mainly taught in English, lasts five days, and is held in a residential format, in the West of Ireland, at the beautiful green structure www.green-spiral.com .
Thai Dynamic is aimed at those who wish to learn techniques that bring diversity in touch, rhythm, together with fluidity, creativity and playfulness to the treatment, those who have completed Thai Massage level 1 and 2, those who practice other traditions of floor treatment and who have some experience.
This retreat is also open to beginners in Thai Massage who have some experience in dance, yoga, theater and similar disciplines.
The Dynamic Thai treatment is a creative and therapeutic way of working on the body to restore its mobility and free the nervous system through the connection with the element of water. The “dynamic modality” of Thai Massage is inspired by the master and therapist Ajahn Chaiyut Priyasith (Northern Thailand) and masterfully reinterpreted and developed in Europe and Asia by David Lutt (France) and Krishnatakis (Greece).
The right combination of gentle shaking, oscillatory and harmonic techniques, allow an effective release and balance of the nervous system, drainage of the lymphatic system, stimulation of the circulatory system and restoration of mobility in the musculoskeletal system and tissues (fascia layers). Furthermore, being a very playful treatment, it stimulates good mood and joy for those who do it and those who receive it.
In this type of treatment, some techniques coming directly from Thai Massage and some from Osteopathy are combined (harmonic techniques, general GOT treatment, swinging and shaking).
During the retreat we will practice asana, meditation, qi gong and chanting.
In the atmosphere of the sangha (community) we will be able to enjoy the lush Irish nature, healthy food prepared with dedication.
